Youth exchange in Poland - report

Have you ever wondered, what does your dream place look like?

I will invite you to an imaginary exercise. Now, try to imagine a magical place, with mountains, trees, some cute wooden buildings, a church (also made by wood), some friendly people. You can also see  a small river, next to it there are many trees. How does it look like? What feelings do you have when you see it? What can you smell there?

Okay, now, let’s imagine that you have the opportunity to stay here for one week. You can try a lot of nice polish dishes, you can meet with people from Poland, Lithuania, Greece and Transylvania (Romania). It sounds really cool, isn’t it?

On 27th of July we started our journey from Miercurea Ciuc to the Tatra Mountains in Poland. We had a really long, boring and tiring day, but we finally  managed to get there.

We have received a very warm welcome, as Polish people are well-known for their exceptional hospitality. We got food, the first information about the next day plan and then we had the opportunity to talk and meet with others and have some drinks, discussions with them. From the first moment, we felt that we are welcomed, everyone was really opened, they were curious about us, about our culture, about our personality etc. From the first moment, we already felt, that we are in a good place and we will collect some wonderful memories. We were right.

During the exchange, we had some really cool get to know each other games, team building games, we went on trips, we made some really funny, interesting, artistic videos about multicultural dialogue, we also made some interesting board games, so the activities were various.

We are thankful that we could spend there one amazing week, we could met and get to know other cultures, traditions (thanks to the national evenings) better. We could gain some new skills, form such amazing relationships etc. We could go on with this list indefinitely...

We hope that we will have the opportunity to meet again as soon as it possible!
